Our highly trained & experienced COMPEX EX 01-4 & EX 12 certified engineers have specialist expertise in the design, installation, inspection & testing of electrical systems that operate within potentially explosive atmospheres governed by the ATEX Directive and DSEAR.

Our Service Delivers:
  • Hazardous area inspection programmes to the latest standards and in accordance with EN 60079-17.
  • Detailed recommendations for improvement in terms of compliance, safety and efficiency.
  • Completion of any corrective work arising from inspections.
  • Submission of relevant documentation for customer records as proof of compliance.
We also have the capability to complete new ATEX compliant design and installation projects by our in-house team of qualified Electrical Engineers. All our in-house Hazardous Area designs are compliant to EN 60079-14 and the ATEX Directive.
Futura Routine ATEX Inspections
Routine ATEX Inspections
Achieve & maintain compliance for your ATEX installations. We have experienced COMPEX Qualified Engineers who will complete your inspections to the latest 60079-17 standards. We can set up a routine annual inspection program & help you to fill the gaps you may have in your current ATEX files. We provide an inspection record for each piece of ATEX equipment you possess, along with recommended actions for any non-compliances. We can also assist you in closing out those actions.
We undertake all three levels of hazardous Area inspections - Detailed, Close and Visual. Detailed inspections must be completed before any new install is made live. Follow up inspections can be either Close or Visual, or even Detailed again in extreme environments. We can help guide you through this process.

ATEX Compliant Design and Installation
We have in-house COMPEX EX12 Designers and COMPEX 01-06 Qualified Electricians. This qualifies us to design, install and commission new Hazardous Area installations, or modify existing ones you may have.
We have extensive experience designing and installing equipment which either creates a hazardous atmosphere or needs to sit in one. We can deal with most materials requirements, whether that is Gas, Fuel vapour or Dust.
ATEX Documentation
All the work we complete is supplied with the documentation you need to be compliant. For complete Design jobs, we will provide a complete Verification Dossier for your Onsite Explosion Protection Document. This includes but not limited to our qualifications, design calcs, Intrinsically Safe Descriptive System Documents, ATEX equipment list, Detailed first inspection records. If you don’t have a site explosion protection document/file, we can advise you on that as well, and help you to get to a compliant state.
